White House encourages discussion of workplace flexibility with launch of Work-Flex Event Starter Kit
Vice President Biden held a Middle Class Task Force event on July 20, discussing solutions for families balancing the dual demands of work and caring for family. During the event, the White House’s Work-Flex Event Starter Kit, which was designed to encourage greater dialogue around workplace flexibility at the community level and bring people together to start making changes, was launched.
The Work-Flex Event Starter Kit builds on the materials developed for the White House Forum to help others continue the conversation. This online resource is intended to help employer and employee associations, advocates, civic groups, elected officials, and others to design and execute events that serve to accomplish one or more of the following objectives:
- Raise awareness about the benefits of workplace flexibility;
- Educate key stakeholders; and
- Encourage workplace policy changes.
